CI Series 2015: Coaching Presence

Learning Objectives: 

• Be able to define Coaching Presence
• Consider the connections between the spiritual discipline of resting in the Lord, preparing to be fully present for a coaching session and remaining fully present throughout the session.
• Clarify the expectations of Coaching Presence at the PCC (using 2014 markers) and MCC levels.
• Consider cultural implications for Coaching Presence, including the effects of Unconscious Bias which can result in loss of business.
• Identify the relationship of Coaching Presence to the other 10 ICF Competencies
• Demonstrate understanding of the Christian Coach’s use of humor,/lightness, intuition/reliance on the Holy Spirit and confidence with humility.
• Identify ways to overcome risks and to hone the coach’s skills.
• Share best practices, strategies, techniques, activities, ideas for coaching at the PCC or MCC level in this competency.
