Writer's Learning Community:

Empowering the Writer Within

Special Opportunity to Grow as a Writer!

Dr. Rich Weigel, President of CCNI, will continue hosting a Learning Community for writers. This is an opportunity for Christian Coaches who feel they have been called by God to write. This learning community will meet one more time in this 2021 year.

Quoting from Mark Batterson in his book Chase the Lion, “We don’t get where God wants us to go by ourselves! If we go it alone, we’ll get lost somewhere along the way. Then who’s going to pick you up when you fall down? And who’s going to push you to your potential.”

If you believe that God has called you to write, then this may be just the venue for you. In this next meeting we're going to talk about what we've been writing and what needs to be written by YOU -- to give the glory to God.

Like the Inklings of old, (the writer's group that included C.S Lewis and J.R. Tolkien), we are bringing together people who feel the need to share what we are writing. But unlike them or any other form of a writer’s community, we are Christian brother and sister coaches who have the skills to encourage, critique, correct, argue, advise, and push each other to get our writing done always with the view of giving God the glory.

Purpose of this group:

  • To support Christian Coaches who want to write.
  • To build Christian writers to influence the culture.

Outcome:

We will encourage and push each other to new levels and improvements of our writing.

Who should participate:

Christian Coaches who are ready to write – right now.

Time and Date:
4th Monday's of .the month, 5:30pm Eastern Time

Dates for the Three-month Writer's Learning Community are

  • Aug 23, 2021
  • Sept 27, 2021
  • Oct 25, 2021

Dr. Weigel, (Rich), has been involved in the field of education for over 30 years. His current business, ProEdCoach.com, (Professional Educators Coaching Services), was established in 2018 as he transitioned from being a school superintendent to the field of executive and leadership coaching. He has an extensive background in leadership and has worked for several large school districts.

He is a Strengths Champion Coach in addition to his background as a national trainer with VitalSmarts and Professional Learning Communities. He has been an adjunct professor for 4 different universities and written the curriculum or taught classes for business ethics, leading change, interpersonal leadership, instructional design, and educational leadership.

Rich is the current President of Christian Coaches Network International and is the vice president for a N.W. Indiana group called the Shared Ethics Advisory Board. His writings include a series of articles about leadership skill development and multiple curricular units. He is looking to publish his Strength-Based Coaching Leadership Workbook, editing a fun book called Simple – But True, and continuing his work on a book called Leading God’s Way for Lasting Impact. Hopefully you’ve read some of his writing as the president’s messages for CCNI. (Check out the CCNI blog!)
