CORE INSIGHTS SERIES 2017
ACTIVE LISTENING
In this interactive session, we will review the ICF core competency definition of Active Listening and unpack it to grow in deeper understanding. We will look at the importance of this competency in terms of the overall coaching process with specific emphasis on its value to both “shape and follow up on powerful questions”. There will be plenty of time for Q&A. Come ready to share how this competency fits into a Christian coaching conversation . . . and perhaps even step up to participate in an exercise to apply it in a way that raises the standard!
Learning Objectives:
1. Basic review of the ICF definition;
2. Identify key aspects of what makes this competency so important; and,
3. Examples of this competency in action at the PCC level.
