Dr. Michael Marx and Walt Hastings will focus on ICF’s core competency #1: Demonstrates Ethical Practice.
How do I demonstrate ethical practice in coaching? This webinar will center on the things a coach does to treat the client well during the coaching conversation. Michael and Walt will give solid ethical examples of good and bad practices during the coaching conversation. This could mean being sensitive to the client, using appropriate language, and referring the client to another professional. Participants will gain an understanding of how good ethics shows up.

Dr. Michael J. Marx
Michael J. Marx, MBA, EdD, PCC, CMCC. Michael is a Certified Master Christian Coach (CCNI) and specializes in business coaching and corporate consultation. Dr. Marx has served as the leader of the ICF ‘Global Community of Practice on Ethics.’ He also serves on the ICF Independent Review Board and Leads Ethics Code Review Team for the Interpretive Statements. Additionally, he is a past-president of Christian Coaches Network International and the author of Ethics and Risk Management for Christian Coaches (2016).
Walt Hastings
Walter G. Hastings, DMin, MCC. Walt is an ICF Master Certified Coach specializing in leadership coaching and church consultation. Dr. Hastings has served the ICF Colorado Chapter as a Board member, functioning as Treasurer, Membership Director, and Credentialing Director. He also served as Credentialing Director for Christian Coaches Network International. He is author of the soon-to-be-published book Fast-Track to Coaching Mastery.
