Focus Session - Beta
Working with others can catapult productivity. Research in psychology and behavioral science shows that regular human connection reduces the likelihood that a worker will procrastinate or become distracted. For coaches, it can help alleviate feelings of isolation.
CCNI is launching a Beta test with Focus Sessions. What does that mean? It’s a chance for like-minded individuals to help to hold each other accountable in order to finish those tasks that we move from todo list to todo list.
Now this is not a brand new idea, in fact it is borrowed from a program called Focusmate. For those who have used this program, it can be extremely helpful. However, what we are looking to expand upon is meeting once a month for an hour to work on whatever project you have to accomplish while adding prayer and some real time feedback with other Christian Coaches.
For instance, one person can be working on a website and simply needs accountability to sit for an hour and do the work. Or another person may need to get that inbox under control. Another may want to outline the next chapter of a book or program. Wherever you may feel stuck, that will be your focus. If someone needs a sounding board, we can move two or more into a breakout room to chat, ask questions, coach, however the Spirit leads.
The format: We will all login to a zoom room and state what we want to accomplish. About 5 minutes before the close of the time we will celebrate the progress that has been made. We will keep our cameras on (the accountability portion) and sound on mute unless you want to ask someone to bounce an idea around.
