“Shallow environment” meaning interruptions, distractions and overwhelm

Personal Performance - Part 1: Helping you and your clients focus in today’s hyper-connected environment.

I recently did a recent survey with people in my contact list as to what issues were most pressing. The number one issue that surfaced was working in a  “shallow environment” meaning interruptions, distractions and overwhelm.

Understanding what contributes to this environment, and how to manage it, is extremely important. In the first of this two-part series we will look at:

  • What’s behind that overwhelmed feeling and how to tame this.
  • Which work habits contribute to distraction and which enhance productivity and success.
  • How to deal with fear and anxiousness and keep them from undermining your performance.
  • How to have greater focus, avoid distractions and be more productive when working on projects.
