Explore the “being” beneath a coach’s “doing”

It’s not enough for coaches to know the “what” and “how” of coaching—coaches must also understand the “who.” In our “The Character of the Coach” 7-part series, you will discover that a coach’s doing—demonstrating skills, using various techniques and tools, and so on—flows from the depths of their being.

The series is based on the book Beyond Competent, which Chris McCluskey (Founder and President of PCCI) heartily endorsed:

“Most coaching books have emphasized what we must do in order to coach well. Beyond Competent goes beyond our doing and unpacks who coaches must be and become.  This book encouraged me to continue my own journey of becoming more Christlike in my coaching.”

Attendees will receive One (1) CCEU for this event. This will count towards CCNI's continuing education requirements for credentialing and other organizations affiliated with Christian Coaching and CCNI.

Your Facilitators:

Mark Ross, MBA, ACC

After a 30-year career in leadership and public service, Mark longed to start a new chapter. He ultimately worked with a coach to help determine his “next thing.” Now he helps others discover their next thing as they move into a new season as Encore-preneurs, enjoying the freedom to pursue the life, work, and relationships that matter most. In addition to private clients who are navigating transitions, Mark also serves as a team host with the Rock Retirement Club and as a strategic coach with the REALIFE Process.

Mark lives in Texas with his wife and is the proud father of two grown daughters. One of his deepest joys is creating visual music to inspire the world through expressionistic landscape paintings, and it’s an important part of his next thing in this season as an Encore-preneur.
