Coaching Tools for Reframing Challenging Circumstances — Part I

What participants will experience
When clients are desperate to “escape” their painful situation, they often miss the transforming work God is already doing within them. In this session Tony demonstrates how to re-frame challenging circumstances, so the client discovers God’s formation agenda in the middle of the mess—an approach that leads to deep heart-level change, not just a temporary behavior change.

Objectives

  • Recognize common signs that a client is stuck in “escape-mode.”
  • Use encounter-oriented questions to surface God’s current work in the client’s heart.
  • Observe Tony coach a volunteer in real time and debrief the moves that made the shift possible.
  • Leave with a re-framing tool based on MetaFormation’s Three Beliefs – 1) God is for me, 2) He’s redeeming circumstances to form me, and 3) His plan is a process.
Webinar is 60 minutes followed by optional 30-minute Q&A session
