I have generated almost 500 practical articles on various aspects of leadership. They are one or two pages in length and are posted on my website on the "Article Archives" page. About half of these were generated for publication in several different newspapers in the first nine years of my coaching experience (2002-2011). I started publishing to both raise my profile and establish my credibility. As I started coaching more, the frequency of my writing diminished and the content of my articles became expansions of my experience with client needs. However, the accumulated library of articles has served my clients well. I often provide one or more articles that are very relevant to the needs of my clients. A colleague and I are now working to transform these from reactive resources for clients to a proactive guide for builders of future leaders, enabling "bosses" to better serve their direct reports in building greater leadership competence and confidence, leading to positions of greater responsibility within their organizations.
Other Certifications
--23 years with Procter & Gamble, 7 years of internal consulting with the Weyerhaeuser Company, 23 years of independent coaching/consulting with leaders who are moving their organizations toward greater effectiveness. While employed with Procter & Gamble and with the Weyerhaeuser Company, I was certified to teach Stephen Covey's three-day course on "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People"; I taught the course about thirty times to about 250 people.
--Social and Emotional Intelligence; certified in November, 2014, by the Institute of Social and Emotional Intelligence.
