Feelings can be deceptive, and occasionally downright disobedient. They are supposed to be guided by our beliefs, but all too often our convictions take their cue from our emotions. The truth is that God is close - real close - and He longs for us to experience a daily walk with Him that breathes life into all we do.
...who is he who will devote himself to be close to me? declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:21b)
