Step Away from "Too Busy"

Have you noticed, as I have, that the pace of life just seems to get faster and faster every single day?  It seems like we are pulled in a thousand different directions – between our bosses needs, our families desires, the churches appeals, and the neighbor next door – we can run ourselves ragged trying to please them all.

But strangely, the more we give, the more they want.  So, we run faster and harder, but still fall further and further behind.  

Feeling guilty and exhausted, at times we want to confess, that the coveted American dream is quickly turning into a nightmare.   And we can't help but ask, "Is this all there is?  Is this as good as it gets?"

Our lives may be full, but we are not fulfilled. If I am productive, I am not at peace.  And when I grab just a little bit of peace and quiet, I feel guilty because I am not productive.

And a good question to ask yourself today is this, "Am I caught in this vicious cycle, trying to having it all but not enjoying any of it?"
