Explore the “being” beneath a coach’s “doing”
It’s not enough for coaches to know the “what” and “how” of coaching—coaches must also understand the “who.” In our “The Character of the Coach” 7-part series, you will discover that a coach’s doing—demonstrating skills, using various techniques and tools, and so on—flows from the depths of their being.
The series is based on the book Beyond Competent, which Chris McCluskey (Founder and President of PCCI) heartily endorsed:

Kathleen Fischer, CPLC
Kathleen is the founder of Christ-Centered Success and the Christ-Empowered Entrepreneurs’ Journey. She is a professional coach and speaker who equips passionate women of God to walk in the power of Christ as they fulfill God’s call to build successful businesses and joy-filled lives.
Kathleen brings a holistic approach to her work, equipping women to overcome both the internal and external challenges that are hindering their success. She also combines her coach training with her background as a systems analyst to equip her clients to experience success in both Christ-centeredness and business-building solutions.
On the personal side, Kathleen is a lover of everything created by God—people, nature, and the wonder of life. She lives in historic Rhode Island with her husband of more than 38 years, who shares her love for their two adult children and families. You’ll most often find Kathleen outdoors, hiking, gardening, paddle-boarding, cycling, and playing in the ocean waves.
Kathleen’s dream is to see a multitude of women worldwide who are fully alive in Christ, joyfully and powerfully fulfilling the amazing works God has created them to do!
Doreen Steenland, PCC, RN
Doreen Steenland is a registered nurse and International Coaching Federation-certified coach and mental fitness expert. Doreen’s diverse nursing experience and neuroscience training provide a unique approach to her coaching. She is the founder of Living Full Life Coaching and empowers exhausted medical professionals to rise above their stress patterns, get anchored, and take control again.
Doreen also coaches women who have conquered survival mode and are now ready to live again! Empowering women to disrupt autopilot living to be present and walk in freedom is her passion.
She is a speaker and author of “Transform Your Brain, One Thought At A Time.”
She lives by grace through faith in New Jersey with her hubby of 32 years and has three adult children. She loves golfing, hiking, and all things outdoors. Her favorite place to rest is her front porch.
